Since hip hop broke into his life sometimes in the 1980s, Guts has devoted all his time and energy to it. He has secured his fame as a beatmaker by trimming the music of groups like Alliance Ethnik, Big Red or the Svinkels. In 2007 he went solo and after two strong albums he signed with Heavenly Sweetness, the label which he is still with until today. “Voyaging Bird” is the opener of his latest Afro-tropical album “Philantropiques” and features great contribution of Haitian-Canadian jazz saxophonist , clarinettist and trumpeter Jowee Omicil.
